Customer Review: Finally a good one after 3 tries

I rated it 2 stars because of the quality contorl from the factory. I had to return two damaged machines to finally get a good one. After the second unit that had a cracked casted yoke assembly, Amazon removed thwe item from their site and had the vendor investigate the problem. The problem was not with the shipper. The package was not damaged. It had to packed up already damaged.
I have to compliment Amazon for working this out and being very responsive. I finally got an undamaged mortiser yesterday and after the short assemby and a single test it does perform as expected.
The actual mortiser is very well made and is easy to use.

DELTA 14-651 Professional 1/2 Horsepower Bench Mortising Machine
Designed for the professional user, the DELTA 14-651 Professional 1/2 HP Bench Mortising Machine includes a multi-position hand lever and a superior mortising head that rotates 180 degrees for tricky off-table projects. The head also includes an adjustable dovetail option for intricate jobs. It is engaged and released using an efficient rack-and-pinion system. Powered by a 1/2 HP motor, this professional mortising machine includes a heavy-duty 16-3/4-inch-by-13-1/2-inch cast-iron base and 2-15/16-inch-tall two-piece fence for safety. The machine comes with a tool and chisel tray, a multi-positional feed lever, and a gas-filled head stabilizer. Four versatile mortising chisels and bits in 1/4-, 5/16-, 3/8-, and 1/2-inch increments are also included, along with a 3/8-inch capacity chuck and key.
